Plaistow, East London
I’m William. I build small business websites, and I keep them working.
Since 2012 I’ve built and looked after the websites other agencies put their name on. Now I do it directly for businesses around East London. Hosting, updates, security, and the phone call when something breaks.

Why people call
Most people ring me about one of these.
You probably recognise at least one. They are all common, and they are all fixable.
-
The last update was years ago
The person who built it moved on, and nothing has been updated since. It still works, mostly. That is usually the point at which it stops.
-
It’s slow, especially on a phone
Most people will look at your site on a phone, on mobile data, standing outside. Three seconds of blank screen and they are gone before they see anything.
-
Something has broken
The contact form stopped sending. Payments are failing at the checkout. There’s a warning where the site used to be. You need it fixed today, not quoted for next week.
-
It looks old next to the competition
Everything works. It looks like it was built a long time ago, and customers read that as the business being the same.
-
You are hard to find on Google
Someone searches for what you do, near where you are, and finds somebody else. That is usually fixable, and it usually comes down to your Google listing rather than the website itself.
What I do
One person, the whole job.
I build new websites, and I look after the ones that already exist. Most people come to me for one and end up with both.
-
Looking after your website
Updates, backups, monitoring, and someone to ring. It stops most of the problems above before they start.
-
Hosting
UK hosting with the site watched, rather than a login and good luck. Moving an existing site over is free and I do it out of hours.
-
Security and emergency fixes
Hacked, blacklisted, or showing a warning. I clean it up, work out how they got in, and close it.
-
New websites
Hand-built and fast on a phone. Yours to take elsewhere whenever you like.
-
Online shops
Taking payments, products, stock and delivery – all tested before anyone buys anything.
-
Being findable
Google Business Profile and local listings, plus honest answers about what will make a difference (and what is a waste of money).
The main thing I do
Someone whose job it is to notice.
Most website disasters are slow. Something goes out of date, then something else, and eighteen months later it breaks on a Friday. A monthly plan is paying someone to notice before that happens.
-
Essentials
£45 a month
Everything a working site needs to stay working. Changes are priced separately.
- UK hosting, SSL and domain handled
- Daily backups, kept off-site
- Updates applied monthly
- Uptime and security monitoring
- A monthly report in plain English
- Reply within 2 working days
-
Most people choose this
Standard
£95 a month
Sites that bring in work, take bookings, or sell.
- Everything in Essentials
- An hour of changes every month
- Updates tested on a copy first, then applied to yours
- Reply within 1 working day
- Speed fixed, not just measured
-
Priority
£195 a month
Busy shops and booking systems – anywhere an hour offline costs you real orders.
- Everything in Standard
- Three hours of changes every month
- Backups every three hours
- Same-day response, and out of hours for real emergencies
- A proper staging site
- A 30-minute review call every quarter
All of this is optional. Plenty of people host it themselves and ring me when something breaks. That works too – you keep everything, and I am here when you need me. I’m not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay. No setup fee, no contract, no auto-renewal surprise. Cancel any month you like, and if you go, I hand over the site, the domain and the files, and help you move them. Anything broken jumps the queue. Routine changes follow behind it.
Plaistow, Canning Town, Stratford, Forest Gate,
East Ham, Upton Park, Bow, Poplar.
One job lost to a broken contact form pays for a year of cover.
That is the entire argument, and it is a boring one. Leave a site alone for three years and the rescue usually costs more than the three years of looking after it would have.
Who I look after
Some of the businesses I work with.
A few of them, with dates rather than logos. The dates are the point – every one of these is still with me.
-
Since 2022
Built the site, and have looked after it ever since – monthly maintenance plus new bits as they need them.
-
Since 2023
Hosting and maintenance, plus changes whenever they need them.
-
Since 2024
Took the site on, got it stable, and have been adding to it since.
-
Since 2024
Maintenance, fixes and changes as they come up.
-
Since 2024
Content changes as they need them.
Most of what I do is websites. The rest is the email and the in-house systems a business runs on. What else I do
Who you would be dealing with
You get me. That’s the whole arrangement.
You email or ring me, and I’m the person who does the work. Nobody sits between us – no account manager, no ticket queue, nobody learning on your website.
I’ve been doing this since 2012, most of it quietly, behind other people’s logos. I live in Plaistow and work with businesses right across East London. Nearly all of it happens by phone and email, which is quicker than waiting for two diaries to line up.
The questions people actually ask
Before you ring.
What happens if you’re ill, away, or hit by a bus?
Fair question, and one this trade tends to dodge. Everything of yours exists outside my head. Your domain is in your name. You get your own hosting login that reaches your site directly, and you hold the passwords, so you or anyone you hire can get straight in on your own. There’s a written handover for each site saying where everything is and how it fits together.
Do I own my website?
Yes, completely. The domain is in your name, the files are yours, and if you want to move you take all of it with you. I’ll help you move it rather than make it difficult.
What if I want to stop?
Tell me and it stops at the end of the month. There’s no contract, no notice period and no exit fee. I’ll export everything and hand it over.
I’ve already got a website. Can you just take it over?
Usually yes, and that’s most of my work. I’ll look at it first and tell you honestly whether it’s worth keeping or whether you’d be spending good money on something that needs replacing.
Do you actually meet people, or is this all email?
Mostly phone and email, and that is deliberate: you get an answer the same day rather than waiting for two diaries to line up. I am in Plaistow, so in person is possible when a job genuinely calls for it.
Are you VAT registered?
No. So the prices on this site are what you pay – there’s nothing to add. Most local businesses are not VAT registered either, which makes me about a fifth cheaper than a registered competitor quoting the same number.
How quickly do you reply?
Within one working day, even if it’s only to say I’ve seen it and when I’ll get to it. If something is broken I start that day. Care plan clients get faster than that: same working day on Standard, same day including out of hours on Priority.
Why is this site so fast?
Because it’s hand-built, carries no plugins, and skips the half a megabyte of someone else’s JavaScript most sites load before showing you a word. That’s the point – it’s what I’d be doing to your site. You can check it yourself: run this page through PageSpeed Insights.
Getting started
Send me your website address.
I’ll look at it properly and write back with what I find: what’s wrong, what’s fine, what it would cost to sort out, and what you could safely ignore. No charge, no card, no obligation, and I’ll only ring you afterwards if you ask me to.
I’ll have replied within one working day, and sent you the write-up within two. Anything outside what I do gets an honest answer and a name to try instead.
Or ring me. That works too. 07891 492388
