What I do with your details.
Short, because I collect little. Ring and ask if anything here needs explaining.
What I collect
Only what you type into the form on this site: your website address, your email, and optionally your name and a message. Nothing else. There is no analytics on this site, no tracking pixels, no advertising tags and no cookies at all – which is also why there is no cookie banner.
Why
To reply to you. That is the only reason. You will not be added to a mailing list, you will not get a follow-up sequence, and I will not ring you unless you ask me to.
Who else sees it
Nobody. I do not share, sell or pass on enquiries. The site is hosted in the UK and the email sits in my own mailbox with my hosting provider.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that go nowhere get deleted within twelve months. If we end up working together I keep what I need for the job and for HMRC, which requires business records to be kept for six years.
Getting it deleted
Email or ring and ask, and I will delete it and confirm that I have. You do not need to give a reason. You also have the right to ask what I hold, to correct it, and to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk if you think I have handled it badly.
Who is responsible
Me. William Stewart, sole trader, at the address in the footer. There is no company and no data protection officer – it is one person and a mailbox.
